SELECTION OF THE CLOTHES

Our aim is to buy all the clothes sent to us. However, for your own satisfaction we only buy items that meet our selection criteria. We will select clothes at our own discretion. Please be very selective when sending us the clothes.

We will not mend or wash the clothes, so any item with a stain, yellowing, missing button or hole, etc will be rejected. New items with tags on can also be rejected depending on their condition.

If too few items match our selection criteria we reserve the right to reject the whole box. If you used our courier service to send the clothes to us, you will be charged to have the whole box sent back to you (Please refer to the COST section below).

When sending via courier, we require a minimum of 20 items matching our selection criteria to be sent to us. You can obviously send more, provided they match our selection criteria. If you want to send less, please get in touch with us before.

There is no need to send pictures as we need to physically inspect the clothes.

SHIPPING OF THE CLOTHES

For faster processing, we invite you to deliver your box at our drop-off location. Please complete the seller form before delivering and include your details in the box.

Should you want to make use of our shipping service, please complete the form in order to request a waybill.  

Petit Fox cannot be held liable if the box is not scanned in and gets lost.

Kindly note that when ordering the waybill, you’ll automatically be added to our sellers’ mailing list. You can unsubscribe at any stage.

Waybill will be issued in staggered batches. They are very popular, so please bear with us while we go through every single one of them. 

Please note waybills are only valid for 1 day and the collection has to be done on the booking day. Past this time, the waybill will be cancelled and the courier will mark it as an unsuccessful collection. We will send you a collection date, kindly ensure that you have someone available at the collection address to hand the parcel to the courier. 

Please ensure your box is as small as possible and fits the items that is inside. Example: Do not send a massive box with only 20 items inside. 

Your waybill number is also your parcel tracking number. We will send you all related courier information once your collection is booked with the relevant courier. 

Petit Fox is not a courier company and cannot be held liable for losses incurred by the negligence of the courier company. For any problem during the transport of your parcel, do not hesitate to contact us so that we can trace the information to the courier company and make every effort to assist you with them.

COST

The courier collection fee is on us if you meet the correct criteria. 

If too few items match our selection criteria we reserve the right to reject the whole box. If you made use of our free courier service, you will be charged to have the whole box sent back to you (R190 for a 5kg box to cover shipping costs both ways – heavier boxes will be charged accordingly).

PAYMENT

We send quotes within 7-10 work days after receiving the box at our offices in Johannesburg. The quote amount is for the whole box. It varies from one box to another as it depends on style, original price, brand, quality, quantity and category of each item. If the items are judged to be in high demand or a high-quality brand, we will pay you more. We also pay more for items that are new and still have the tag attached, provided they meet our selection criteria.

We take into account the work required to sort, freshen up, style, photograph, list and store clothing and then attract and serve buyers. 

You can choose between a cash out or store credit

Store credit is issued within 72 hours and is valid for 6 months. Convert your store credit in gift card for the most useful gift to new parents!

REJECTED ITEMS

What might not be sellable on Petit Fox can still be very wearable. The items we did not buy will be donated to local hospitals and charities. 

You can choose to have the remaining clothes back. The cost to have the remaining clothes returned back to you is R110 per box.

If you’d rather like to get all the clothes back, and you made use of our courier service, a R190 fee per box is applicable, plus any other additional cost linked to the weight of your parcel.

If too few items match our selection criteria we reserve the right to reject the whole box and you will be charged to have the whole box sent back to you if you made use of our free courier service (R190 to cover shipping costs both ways – heavier boxes will be charged accordingly). 

Should you decide to donate the box instead, we reserve the right to sell whatever is in sellable condition to cover our costs.
